John Wendling’s art is inspired by his myriad experiences traveling and meeting all types of people. This has challenged him to create oil paintings that infuse the human spirit and landscapes that speak to people’s emotions. John is trained in classical methods, but is constantly exploring new approaches. At times he uses mixed mediums, limited pallets for painterly effects, and glazing of traditional oils over one color underpaintings to achieve spectacular appearances. John’s paintings truly form a record of life between people and nature.
